I’ve decided to join in with the fab new Word of the Week linky run by fellow blogger The Reading Residence. The idea is very simple, every week you come up with one word to sum up your week.
When thinking about what my launch word could be, ‘wet’ was actually what first popped into my head! Obviously this is because of the dire weather but it’s also one that Little Miss keeps saying at the moment, having now grasped the concept of what wet actually is. Just this morning she pointed at the television coverage of the latest floods and very earnestly said ‘wet’.
BUT, I’m not going to have wet as my first word of the week. It just doesn’t seem upbeat enough to start with that.
So I’m going, all guns blazing, for:
I’ve got some incredibly exciting challenges ahead this year, both personal and professional. But they are daunting and I’ve felt a little shaky and overwhelmed these last 24 hours. So ‘can’ is all about me embracing the future with confidence, positivity and a bit more self-belief. I CAN do it!
love it, absolutely love positivity, go for it! 🙂
Thanks so much. I hope my word next week can be just as positive!
You can 😀 everybody can! Awesome positivity 🙂
Thanks. It’s amazing how short and simple the word ‘can’ actually is – much easier than ‘can’t’!
Now, I do like ‘can’! So very certain and positive. Fabulous way to kick of a year 🙂 Thanks for joining in with #WotW x
Thanks. I do feel inspired when I think about the word can. For me it’s all about trusting my gut instincts more rather than letting the negative mist descend. Glad others like it too. Word of the Week is a brilliant linky to join in with. I’m enjoying trying to read as many of the other posts as possible!
Great word and a great philosophy for the year let alone week! I like the kick up the butt attitude of your word.
#WotW
Thanks, hope I can keep it up. And I definitely need a kick up the butt from time to time!
Fab Word I think we could all do with a bit of a ‘can’ attitude sometimes
Reminds me of my late mum saying “There’s no such word as can’t” All the best with whatever you take on in 2014
Thanks Kate. I loved your New Year’s Eve post about your mum (http://kateonthinice.com/uncategorized/new-years-eve-is-all-about-my-mum/). She sounded like such a wonderful lady. Very best wishes for a bright 2014.
I love your attitude! x
