Little Miss has once again been excelling herself in the cuteness stakes this weekend, as we’ve discovered that she knows the words to far more nursery rhymes than we’d realised. So my word for this week has to be:
Ok, so to the ears of outsiders she doesn’t always get the exact tune or quite the right words but she’s definitely trying. Her best showstoppers are Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star – a favourite since she was teeny tiny – Incy Wincy Spider and Baa, Baa Black Sheep, although her bags of wool are generally for Mummy and Daddy rather than little boys who live down the lane!
Along with the ‘singing’ Little Miss continues to string more and more words together. It won’t be that long until we can have proper little conversations! She’s also done really well at nursery this week, having moved up from the baby room to the toddler group without any real fuss.
And a very close second place contender for Word of the Week was ‘Pancakes’. These went down particularly well on Tuesday, so much so that there were tears when they finished and it was the first thing Little Miss said on Wednesday morning!
This post is part of the Word of the Week linky run by fellow blogger Jocelyn over at The Reading Residence. The idea is very simple, every week you come up with one word to sum up your week.
My previous words have been:
Can, Relieved, Midnight, Happy, Stickers, Proud, Spring, Calm and Anticipation.
Lovely 🙂 I find it incredibly cute and amusing when our little bear makes up randoms tunes and randoms words to go with it 🙂
They are so cute, aren’t they? I’m looking forward to Little Miss expanding her repertoire!
This is so sweet! Bless her and her lovely singing 🙂 I love listening to Boo sing, and she’s 4, so it doesn’t get old! Glad the pancakes were such a hit and the move to toddler room was a smooth one.
Thanks for sharing with #WotW x
Thanks. Can’t believe we’re already on the tenth Word of the Week! It will be so interesting looking back at the end of the year. Really hope I manage to keep it up so I have one for every week.
Aww so cute! Love toddler singing! Just adorable xx #wotw
Thank you. I’m very much looking forward to hearing more!
