This week has been all about getting ready for Little Miss’s second birthday next week, so my Word of the Week has to be:
It’s been very exciting. The post is so much more interesting when you’re waiting for important deliveries to arrive and trips to town have taken on much more significance as, rather than the usual boring errands, we’ve been picking up all the bits and pieces needed for the small party we’re having for our closest family and friends next Saturday.
We’re really looking forward to celebrating her special day. Of course her first birthday last year was just as special but more so for us than for her as one year olds really aren’t all that aware of what’s going on! This year she’ll understand what presents are and will love opening them and seeing her new things, she loves cake and has been learning how to blow candles out and she loves a family party with all her cousins. We can’t wait.
It will be a bit of a bumper week for birthdays too. Mine is next Sunday, two days after Little Miss’s, and we’re also expecting a new niece or nephew to put in an appearance in the next few days. So a busy but lovely week ahead.
This post is part of the Word of the Week linky run by fellow blogger Jocelyn over at The Reading Residence. The idea is very simple, every week you come up with one word to sum up your week.
My previous words have been:
Can, Relieved, Midnight, Happy, Stickers, Proud, Spring, Calm, Anticipation, singing and reading.
Sounds like an exciting week ahead! You’re right about second birthdays – the kids do enjoy them more 🙂
Exciting! Hope all goes smoothly & you both have lovely birthdays x Thanks for sharing with #WotW
Thank you, sure we will.
